Windows 11 Add Contacts: Additionally, the company said that now users will be able to add contacts via an email address or phone number and that they will be able to sync all their existing contacts automatically. “You can accept or decline calls directly from the notifications and decide whether you want to pick up as audio-only or with video, too,” the Microsoft executive added in the blog post. The company said that when other users contact a user, they will receive native notifications and that they will be able to respond directly inline to text chats. Windows 11 notifications: Apart from this, the company said that Windows Insider users are also getting access to notifications with inline replies.
Users who want the full windowed experience can click on the “Open Microsoft Teams” from the Chat flyout or launch it directly from the Start Menu or Search. “Just like the Start menu, you can pop open Chat at any time – it doesn't matter what other windows you have up – to kick off a communication and it will then dismiss,” Microsoft's senior product manager Brandon LeBlanc wrote in the blog post. From here, they will be able to respond to messages or start a new chat or call. The company said, when opened, users will see their most recent individual and group conversations at a glance. Alternatively, Windows Insider users can access it by using WIN+C keyboard shortcut. Windows 11 Taskbar: Microsoft said that the Teams Chat icon is available in the Taskbar in Windows 11. This news was confirmed by Microsoft in a blog post. It will be available to all Windows 11 users when the OS is formally rolled out. The Windows 11 Teams Chat feature is available only to Windows Insider users at the moment.
Before you go rushing off to try and download Windows 11 with Teams chat, just know Microsoft hasn't rolled out the OS officially as yet - It is scheduled to arrive in fall this year.
